Memorates of dodue
A memorate is defined as personal-experience narrative that includes an encounter with a supernatural being, or any first-person narrative that includes a supernatural element. In her silence, seclusions and solitude, Maŋnyɛ Klo Dodue practices meditation; for somatic healing, spiritual insight and divine revelation. It is through meditative practice that Maŋnyɛ Klo Dodue encounters the "supernatural;" these are her memorates with Nyɔɔŋtsele (Moon) and Tsotsoobi.

A star is born: the Kpo-dziemo of Dodue'S LIGHT
"I come into the presence of God wearing my spiritual regalia (crown, beaded robe and white gown) and kneel down to pray, praise and prostrate before God ... when I bring my hands together in prayer, I can feel GaDangme prayer beads hanging from my fingers ... As I am praying, I also take notice that the Light of God is different today; it is accompanied by dew which makes it appear dim ... I thank God for the Divine Hand on my life; for the transformation I am experiencing, as well as the guidance and love I feel ... I ask God to speak to my heart, to tell me what I need to know now ... In the silence I begin to bare my heart, telling God that I am still struggling with FEAR ... that Fear showed up again last night and I could feel it - viscerally in my body - as I tried to sleep ... I lay down on my back, waiting to hear from God, and in the silence my soul goes searching for Healing Light; my kla (soul) is taken to my pasture and arrives laying on the grass, still supine, looking up at the sky ... At my pasture, it is dawn and there is the same dew everywhere ... My soul is still and quiet, and in the silence droplets begin to fall - covering my soul - to announce the presence of Nyɔɔŋtsele ... as my soul is cleansed, I hear Nyɔɔŋtsele say:
"Dodue ... I am your Moon ... I am the receiver of your emotions ... I magnify what you feel ... I have come to help you battle Fear ... You fear to be me ... you fear to be powerful ... you fear to illuminate and shine bright ... I create the dew that guides and directs our people ... you must use your light to do the same ... The kusumtsɛmɛi will receive your star."
My soul is elevated to a new level of gratitude for Nyɔɔŋtsele and in her light, my soul is purified ... The revelation enters my Spirit and takes my kla to a new height and from this position, my kla can feel the presence of a star ... I am now a shinning light and can see that the star is Tsotsoobi ... I then hear Nyɔɔŋtsele say: "Tsotsoobi is here to greet and welcome you ..." Tsotshoobi is positioned directly in front of my light and reflects back to me a blue sapphire hue... From Tsotsoobi I hear:
"Dodue ... you have been shown the origin of your star, Nyɔɔŋtsele uses her dew to guide us ... When a child is born they are presented to me; now, when a maiden is born they will be presented to you ... you will guide and protect them until they give birth ...you will safeguard their fertility and show them how to create ... you will sanctify the ways of the womb-man ... You are Dodue, the star that sees from afar ... You are Dodue, THE FERTILITY STAR ... You will lead maidens to become mothers unto me."
I lay there feeling reborn ... I take deep breaths to anchor my soul's witness of the kpo-dziemo of my star ... I thank Tsotsoobi for the revelation and as my gratitude rises, I feel Fear leave my body ... I continue to take deep breaths, until I am brought back to my consciousness. [opens eyes]
